We locate the guiding force of our work somewhere between aesthetics and ecology. We believe that the pursuit of beauty in the landscape can and must entail the pursuit of a flourishing ecosystem.

INTERDISCIPLINARY

We integrate perspectives from design, arboriculture, horticulture, and urban planning.

START WHERE YOU ARE

We don’t need to start with a tear down, and you don’t have to change everything to do a little better by our ecosystem. We’ll start with where you are and how you use or would like to use your space.

SHADE

We love trees, we love shade, and we aim to support the city’s urban canopy goals. Our city is getting hotter, and the shade of trees is a life-giving force.

MAINTENANCE

Nothing is permanent, and we understand maintenance as a beautiful ongoing practice of becoming. We typically do not aim to keep gardens in a state of stasis; we aim to keep them beautiful and flourishing.
